BIDA Liverpool Division

Our Merseyside and Cheshire Division had brilliant event on 26th August 2011. This division has been very active for many years and produced some great leaders for BIDA. Current leader Dr Sinha has worked tirelessly for BIDA and has organised many events. This event took place on 26 August 2011.

Merseyside and Cheshire divisional CLINICAL SYMPOSIUM on 26th August 2011

A clinical symposium was organised by Merseyside and Cheshire division of BIDA on 26th August 2011 in Broadgreen Int. School which was attended by fifty BIDA members of this division. The meeting kicked off with the welcome address by divisional chairman Dr.Birendra Sinha, who also thanked the national officers for attending including our national chairman Dr. Bachi Sarker and national gen. secretary Dr.Ashok Kakkar. The first talk was given by our new BIDA member Dr.Vishwanath who is Consultant Urologist at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen trust and he gave a practical and comprehensive coverage on Prostate problems. He tried to help clear some of the dilemmas when faced with LUTS associated with Prostatic enlargement.

The second talk was delivered by Dr.Alan Curley, PhD in hypnotherapy who is based in Glasgow. He travelled all the way to update us on smoking cessation and his talk was full not only interesting but entertaining too.

The division chairman Dr.Birendra Sinha congratulated the divisional cricket team and the cricket co-ordinator Dr. Raghu Hegde for wining the President Cup trophy. The national chairman Dr. Bachi sarker also addressed the audience in which he strongly urged the members to use our new BIDAONLINE website. He also thanked our national vice chairman Dr. Umesh Prabhu for his hard work for running and looking after the website.

The divisional president Dr.T.K.Rastogi reminded and updated on our national AGM and ARM on 15th to 16th October 2011 which is being held in Liverpool. He also invited all BIDA members of division to attend our annual dinner on 14th Oct.2011.The meeting concluded by vote of thanks by divisional secretary Dr.S.Goyal  

Dr. Sunil Sapre - Six Peaks Charity Challenge 2011

I am pleased to inform you that, in summer 2011, I am taking on challenge to visit the summits of the highest peaks of the six regions of the British Isles - all within 72 hours in support of Water Aid charity. The challenge involves 50 miles to walk, 20000 feet to climb, 1000miles to drive and two sea crossings.... all within 72 hours!
